Carrie-Anne Fields of My Health Yoga has taken her Gold Coast yoga teacher training worldwide. She started her health business 20 years ago aged 22 and has grown into a global business that is continuing to expand. Ms Fields is director and manager of My Health Yoga, which runs yoga studios at Broadbeach and at New Farm in Brisbane and has also grown to become on of Australia’s best known yoga teacher training facilities.

Ms fields started the business in Broadbeach, Gold Coast as My Health offering natural therapies and counselling as well as yoga- but found that part of the business so successful, she added yoga to the business name.

In 2014, My Health Yoga took its training courses online and it now has 1100 trainees across the globe in Africa, the UK Europe and beyond. Carrie decided to add the online training option onto their in-studio teacher training program and this has been a huge success.Looking toward future goals, Carlos Salazar, one of the senior facilitators in the online courses and is developing a Spanish version on the teacher training program. Carlos is also fluent in Japanese and will be developing the courses in Japanese.

They are now offering on-demand, online classes through My Health TV. Carrie-Anne Fields developed the idea as there was a huge demand from people living in remote areas of Australia who were unable to travel to the city to do intensive retreats to complete their teacher training courses. The courses have been translated into Italian with Spanish and Japanese versions in development.

Carrie says, “I had a demand from people wanting to become yoga teachers- at that time yoga wasn’t in all the fitness centres, so I was in on the first wave of people teaching. We’re seeing it go global now, I think over the next few years we’re really going to start seeing a boom in the online courses.”

VO Group is developing the new custom built online e-learning platform specifically for courses.
