Avoid These 4 Most Irresponsible Ways of Flying of Drones

  • Written by News Company

It pretty much goes without saying that drones are the future in every sense of the word. Not only are people being spoilt for choice with regard to the numerous models out there in the market, but there is also the fact that they have infiltrated into almost every sphere of our lives. From making food deliveries to thermal imaging to taking awe-inspiring nature photography, you can be sure of the fact that drones have become an intimate part of the lives of a lot of people out there.

One thing is for sure - long gone are the days when drones were only accessible to the military. It is not surprising to buy some of the best drones out there in less than $100. However, one needs to keep in mind that there is a dangerous side to this as well. Even though most people think that there is really no need for the government to monitor civilian drone usage, there are enough people who think that they can do just about anything with a drone. Truly the heights of irresponsibility, but that’s the way things are.

On that very note, here is a list of some of the most irresponsible ways of flying drones:-

  • Flying them over government buildings: Not only will this lead to a high likelihood of you getting arrested, but it will also lead to a complete ban on drones anywhere near the area. Not only would you have gotten yourself in jail, but annoyed many other people in the bargain.

Seriously just curb your enthusiasm and fly drones only where you know it will be safe. As simple as that. Trying to be a daredevil will get you nowhere. There are more than enough threats to national security on a daily basis without you adding to it.

  • Using them to startle animals: Although a lot of you may find this rather hard to believe, a lot of close-up animals shoots end up failing due to the close proximity of the drone. Sure, filming animals is all very well, but when you end up scaring them, it pretty much defeats the whole purpose. Not to mention doing that will probably get you banned from the national park for good.

  • A wedding close-up: Even this can lead to this getting out of control and even worse, injuring the bride and groom if not careful. Basically, the closer you get, the riskier it is as there are higher chances of you losing control of the drone. So you’re going to have to watch out if you’re employing a drone at a wedding.

  • Too close to the airport: This has happened fairly often. What makes it even more dangerous is that in most cases, it wasn’t even the air-traffic control that spotted the drone, but the pilot.

A drone of any size close to an aircraft that’s about to take off any moment is a serious hazard to hundreds of lives. In most cases, the drone has been spotted in time, but with more drones, things are going to get more dangerous than before.

At the end of the day, this is not to suggest that almost every drone member has little to no sense of responsibility or consideration for the safety of others. It is simply that the few irresponsible people create a bad name for mostly every other drone member out there because of the mistakes and accidents that they have caused. Most of the accidents create some of the biggest headlines simply because of how immature and childish they are.
