How to make friends as an adult with this app

  • Written by Modern Australian

Making friends is an adult is hard. Everyone has their own little cliques, people get married, have babies, get caught up in their own lives, and suddenly you realise you’re lonely. We’ve spent enough time isolating and in virtual meetings to last us a lifetime, it’s time to get off social platforms and back into the real world, with real human interaction. But where do you start?

Thanks to entrepreneur and founder of KRUNK, Tobias Quinn has created a new app that’s making it easier to make friends no matter where you are in the world

KRUNK was designed to help fight loneliness through the power of human connection. You can find active like-minded people by location, activity and interest. This fills a much-needed problem I myself was suffering from. I kept asking myself, “How do I meet like-minded people?” Quinn wrote on his LinkedIn page.

KRUNK lists more than 100 different activities and interests to chose from. You select the fitness activities that interest you and enter your skill level, and hey presto! You’re immediately able to connect with individuals who are also looking for friends just like you—and you already have some common interests. Whether you were born to be a snow bunny or are addicted to the call of the ocean, you’re going to find activities you enjoy, and thanks to KRUNK, you won’t have to do it alone no matter where you are in the world The perfect travel companion

KRUNK is also the perfect travel companion. Many people put off exploring the world because they don’t want to travel alone. Now, no matter what your destination, you’ll have the ability to connect with locals wherever you are. Don’t want to surf the Maui alone? Find a friend in Hawaii before you leave home. Perhaps you’re travelling with a partner who’s not as adventurous as you? There’s no need to miss out on adrenaline-pumping activities because you don’t want to do them alone.

KRUNK is also an amazing way for health and fitness businesses to connect with people within their niche. You can sign up and interact with people who would use your services. You can also create groups and events (known as KRUNKS) promoting gym open days, yoga classes or invite people to sample your products in a low-key, friendly way. KRUNK is a good way to be seen by the niche that are interested in exactly what you do.” Quinn said.

KRUNK is available for download on IOS and Android, and is available for free.
