New Guide to Sydney & NSW in Summer

  • Written by Hugh Cavill
The very best of NSW in Summer will be showcased to an audience of more than two million people over the next two weekends, with the release of a 40-page Your Guide To Sydney & NSW In Summer glossy magazine.

Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres said the guide will be available in publications around Australia, such as Sunday Telegraph in Sydney, the Sunday Herald Sun in Melbourne, the Brisbane Sunday Mail, the Perth Sunday Times and many more. It will also appear in newspapers in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in New Zealand.

Mr Ayres said the Guide, published by Destination NSW, offers plenty of suggestions for things to see do and experience in Sydney and Regional NSW over the Summer months.

“Summer is a great time to get out and about in NSW, with a wide array of events and attractions to suit all ages and tastes. The magazine highlights new harbourside parkland at Barangaroo, exciting food precincts such as Chatswood and Surry Hills and the beauty of Regional NSW,” Mr Ayres said.

“The Guide will also feature the blockbuster calendar of events – many of which are NSW exclusives – over the coming months including the inaugural rugby Sydney Sevens, Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour: Turandot, the Parkes Elvis Festival, the V8 Sydney 500, the Australian Open Golf, the Deni Ute Muster, Matilda: The Musical and the Tamworth Country Music Festival.”

Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer Sandra Chipchase said: “The publication will be seen by more than of 2.3 million people, and the Guide provides plenty of tips and hints on how visitors can make their trip to Sydney and NSW unforgettable. I encourage everyone to get their hands on a copy and plan a Summer trip to NSW.”
