WHAT TYPE OF FLOORING CAN INCREASE YOUR HOME VALUE?

  • Written by News Company

Any flooring process requires high-quality material and professional work. Work quality depends on the professionalism of the builder and the choice of flooring is up to you. You need to decide the type of floor which suits them best. Are you wondering what types of flooring options are available? What type of floor is suitable for the bathroom and in the kitchen? In this article, you will get to know the types of flooring and description of each of them.

Types of flooring:

The specifications of the premises and your budget depend largely on choosing the right option. However, a variety of floor coverings in various composition, structure, performance, installation complexity, engineered flooring and price poses a challenge for us.

The most popular types of floor coverings available in the market are:

  1. Wood flooring

  2. Laminate flooring

  3. PVC Modular Coating

  4. Linoleum flooring

  5. Natural stone

  6. Ceramic tile

1-Wood flooring:

The new types of flooring made of artificial materials are gaining popularity these days, as they are cheaper and easier to process. However, it is difficult to replace real natural materials for flooring, especially if you like classic interiors, expensive and stylish aesthetics.

There are different types of wooden finishing materials for flooring, but most often, the floor is laid with parquet and solid board.

a)-Parquet

Parquet is considered the most aesthetic flooring made of wood. Parquet has many varieties in different characteristics; the thickness of the board, the type of grooves for assembly and the grade of wood. It is very durable, but the most expensive.

b)-Solid wood board:

Solid wood plank has several advantages over parquet. Firstly, the most modern models of such boards have grooves with a comb along their entire length, which allows them to be tightly connected. Secondly, the installation of the boards is very simple.

2-Laminate Flooring:

This is quite a young material that has already gained a strong position in the construction industry due to its high performance. It is easy to maintain and affordable.

Laminate flooring has two leading properties; high-resistant against moisture and minimal absorption. Therefore, it is not only good for the living room but also for places frequently exposed to water - bathroom or kitchen. Modern laminate flooring manufacturers offer a ton of types of this popular flooring. Today, laminate floorings are available not only in the city where the primary wholesalers of laminate flooring locate but also in many retail hardware stores.

a)-Bulk polymer floors

In the recent past, the only possible floor covering in the bathroom and kitchen was ceramic tile. With the development of new technologies, an alternative to ceramic tiles familiar to everyone thrived - polymer floors. By composition, the types of polymer floors are divided into:

  • Epoxy

  • Polyurethane

  • Methyl methacrylate (this type of flooring is not often used, due to the high cost).

A few of its properties; wear resistance, insensitivity to vibration and inertness to the effects of chemical compounds. These adjectives contribute to the fact that such self-leveling floors can be used in industrial and utility premises.

3-PVC Modular Coating

Currently, there is a wide range of coatings of modular polymer tiles in the construction industry. PVC flooring allows you to solve three problems at once:

  1. Security

  2. High level of comfort

  3. The attractive appearance of the room.

Modular PVC coatings are available in the market in bulk quantity. The reason for the huge production of PVC modular coating is the demand and development of science and innovative technologies. This cladding flooring has several advantages compared to the other flooring material in the market.

4-Linoleum

Linoleum does not require special care and is mostly used in rooms with high humidity. For instance, it helps in finishing the floor in the kitchen. The material is divided into three categories:

  • Commercial

  • Semi-commercial

  • Domestic

The main difference between these categories is the thickness and density of the material, which in turn affects the wear resistance. The densest among them are commercial.

5-Natural stone

Stone, as a building material, is known "from the beginning of time". However, we cannot dwell in the architectural monuments but consider the use of natural stones for modern decoration of floors. In such a case, the builders use stones for modern flooring more technically and subtly.

Most of the people in our society assume the use of natural stone as a symbol of wealth and nobility. Besides, this type of flooring has uniqueness and is an exclusive masterpiece created by the joint efforts of man and nature.

6-Ceramic tile

Ceramic tile is one of the most traditional and popular types of flooring. A variety of shapes and sizes, colors and textures allows you to choose floor tiles of any quality for any premises. No other flooring is able to completely replace ceramic tiles since these are simply flawless due to their strength, aesthetics, and ease of maintenance.

Conclusion

Before buying materials for flooring, you should know all the positive and negative qualities of different materials. In such a process as finishing the floor, price matters, but thanks to the huge variety of goods offered. Each buyer can find the most suitable option for their needs and capabilities.
