When installing pavements, many homeowners prefer limestone over other stones, such as travertine and sandstone. The reasons behind this preference are that travertine usually has holes that make it wear out faster, while the porous nature of sandstone makes it unsuitable for outdoor installation.

Natural stones vary in colour and pattern, even when sourced from the same quarry. This is because of naturally occurring variances inside the stone.
