6 Easy Tips for Young Men and Women to Prevent Hair Loss

Overcoming hair loss can be challenging for young men and women. In fact, it is almost impossible to keep your hair healthy and strong without the right routine.

Youngsters facing hair loss or thinning usually aren’t sure how to recover from hair damage. That’s why we consulted resources from Lordhair - a leading hair system brand - to share tips and ideas for preventing hair loss in men & women.

Let’s start with our tips and ideas to prevent hair loss!

Pick the right foods: An imbalanced diet is one of the major reasons behind hair loss at a young age. Thankfully, there are lots of nutrient-rich foods that can help improve hair health and growth.

Add the below foods to your daily diet to prevent hair loss problems:

  • Carrots

  • Oats

  • Eggs

  • Walnuts

  • Fresh fruits (oranges, grapes, berries, and apricots)

  • Green peas

Limit the styling: Using heat-focused hair styling tools such as straighteners and hairdryers on a daily basis makes the hair dry and maximizes the chances of hair fall in the long run. That’s because the heat from such tools weakens the hair strands by drying out the scalp.

Go for hairstyles that don’t require regular use of heat-focused hair styling tools. Keep it simple to keep it healthy!

Pick the right shampoo: Using shampoos and conditioners with harmful chemicals is one of the major reasons behind hair loss in young men and women. Harmful chemicals like sodium chloride and parabens remove natural oils from the scalp and affect the hair in many ways.

It is best to use organic or medicated shampoos after consulting your doctor. This will greatly help in improving scalp health and hair shine.

Pat dry the hair: Rubbing wet hair aggressively causes a lot of damage to hair and could also trigger hair fall. Drying your wet hair with a towel is beneficial only when it is done in the right way. Minimize the friction by pat drying your hair, and save it from undue stress.

Follow the below tips to pat dry your hair in the right way:

  • Squeeze your wet hair gently with your hands.

  • Use a soft towel to dry your hair.

  • Avoid excessive rubbing.

  • Use a hairdryer on special occasions only.

Keep the scalp clean: Not keeping your scalp clean is an open invitation to bacteria, fungus, and skin infections. A dirty scalp triggers the growth of bacteria and puts a negative impact on the health of hair follicles.

Use the right shampoo and conditioner to keep the scalp clean. There are a lot of home remedies to kill off the skin bacteria. Try them too!

Take cold showers: The majority of us avoid taking cold showers but do you know cold showers help in locking moisture in your hair? Yes, it does that and a lot more. Below points will help you understand why cold showers are best to get rid of weak hair:

  • Decreases redness around the hair follicles.

  • Makes hair look healthier and stronger.

  • Increases smoothness and shine

We hope that the above hair care tips will help you in getting rid of hair loss and boost hair growth. If your hair loss is extreme and there is no sign of natural hair recovery, we highly recommend the use of hair piece toupees to get back a full head of hair. Women with aggressive hair loss can go for hair wigs and toppers.
